Who We Are

CNC Cutting Direct is a Christchurch-based precision cutting workshop operating industrial CNC routing and CO₂ laser cutting systems.

We specialise in large-format sheet processing and detailed engraving for cabinetmakers, builders, designers and manufacturers across New Zealand.

From MDF and plywood panels to acrylic signage and custom components, we deliver clean cuts, tight tolerances and consistent results.

Our Background

CNC Cutting Direct was established from our manufacturing experience at The Wood Collective, where CNC routing formed part of ongoing furniture and joinery production.

As demand grew from external trade clients, we developed CNC Cutting Direct as a dedicated precision cutting service — structured specifically to support cabinetmakers, builders, designers and manufacturers across New Zealand.

The result is a workshop grounded in real production experience, not just standalone cutting.

Our Equipment & Approach

We operate an industrial Heliner CNC router for full-sheet processing up to 2440 × 1220 mm, alongside precision laser cutting equipment for detailed acrylic, signage and engraving work.

Our workshop is structured for:
